In our Website we are currently planning a presentation of the full range of microelectronic components from Sharp - from LEDs to hologram lasers, from flash memory chip to TFT LCD modules. Sharp has made repeated technological history with its microelectronic components. Already in the 1920´s Sharp developed the first radio frequency modules. Today the company has vast knowledge in the areas of optoelectronics, semiconductors and display technology, and has a leading position in many markets worldwide. For decades Sharp has stimulated the display market with its pioneering inventions, like the development of the first calculator equipped with an LC display in 1973 and the introduction of the first resolution TFT display in 1988. Our current range of products gives you the opportunity to choose from a large selection of innovative components which offer high performance at maximum cost efficiency. Through the development of our HR-TFT (high reflective) displays for example, we have succeeded in reducing the size of mobile appliances considerably. Thanks to HR technology, appliances weigh up to 50% less, and the energy consumtion has been cut by 85%. Other highlights are our extremely luminous and brilliant AlGalnP-LEDs, low Power Loss Voltage Regulators, Flash Memory in Chip Size Package and USB Cameras.
