The AR-5040 is Sharp's Advanced Reprographics device, ready for integration as a network Postscript printer in many of today's most popular computer networks. With a print resolution of 400 dpi and 256 levels of grey, outstanding print quality is assured. Used as a network printer, the advantages are not only in speed and performance, but also in reduction of network traffic. Unlike most page printers, the AR-5040 Digital Copier Printer requires documents to be sent only once across the network, where the print job is stored on its 100-sheet capacity hard disk and then printed out as many times as required. A wide range of paper sizes are available and double-sided printing is standard - unusual for a printer in this class. The AR-5040 is aimed at bringing on-demand printing and finishing into the general office, including preparation of covers, online stapling and a cost-effective booklet maker. And because it is a copier too, you can be assured that everyone can use it. That is the flexibility of advanced reprographics.
